DescriptionThe Foundation awards funds to eligible applicants for qualifying projects or activities that promote firearms and hunting safety; enhance the marksmanship skills of those participating in the shooting sports; educate the general public about firearms in their historic, technological, and artistic context; or contribute to the general well being of the public at large. The Foundation will not fund deficit financing, political candidates or organizations, labor organizations, or lobby efforts. The Foundation considers state fund applications monthly, with submission deadlines set by individual field representatives, and meets annually to review national grant applications. Applicants are required to complete a formal application form.
