DescriptionThe Foundation’s mission is the pursuit of social equity and justice throughout the world. Of particular interest are initiatives that affect public policy. The Foundation invests its resources to empower the experts on the front lines; to ensure transparency and honesty in government and enterprise; to affect public policy; and to advance the principle that all persons have the right to a secure and dignified life. The Foundation has two focuses: media and democracy and civil participation and domestic and international issues. Through its funding, the Foundation has adopted strategic and innovative approaches that give voice to the unheard and raise unasked questions. The Foundation does not accept letters of inquiry, only proposals. Proposals must be submitted between March 1 and September 1 each year.
