: General

Description

Established by Adolph H. Meyer and Ginger Meyer, the Foundation supports the couple’s interests, specifically American culture and natural resources and agriculture. The Foundation’s purpose is to support educational and advocacy programs that help preserve American agriculture, conserve natural resources, and protect and present the expressions of American’s heritage. The Foundation focuses on two program areas of “protection, preservation, and education”: American heritage as its expressed through material culture, and natural resources and agriculture through land use and growth management. While nonprofits in the state of Michigan are a priority, the Foundation does make grants across the country. It will accept the standard form of the Council of Michigan Foundations or an application that follows guidelines found on its Web site. Proposals should be brief and be submitted on the 10th of January, April, July, and October. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
