Description

The Foundation’s grantmaking is focused on helping organizations achieve their goals by supporting leadership development for individuals. Funding is earmarked for programs in arts and humanities, ecological health, education, human services and health, and other. Most grants are awarded to organizations located in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Exceptions include fully accredited tribally controlled colleges throughout the United States and historically black private colleges through The College Fund/UNCF. Applications for artist, leadership, and medical fellowships are open to residents of 26 counties of northwestern Wisconsin in addition to Minnesota and the Dakotas. Of particular interest are programs that originate from or serve ethnic and racial minorities, or from organizations that have few other grant prospects. Letters of inquiry requested. The deadline is for the letters. An eligibility quiz can be found on the Web site.
