Description

The Foundation funds hands-on projects at the local level that enhance fish populations, restore fish habitats, improve water quality, and advance fisheries research in North America and Canada. The Conservation grants will provide for stabilizing stream banks, aeration systems, fishing reefs, silt removal, planting trees and vegetation, fish passage improvements, hatchery construction or renovation, and litter cleanups. Funding is also provided for stocking and rearing projects with long-term value and rentals of heavy equipment to remove silt from fishing ponds, construct fish ladders and bypasses, demolish and remove dams, or placement of large pieces of wood.
