Libertygives Foundation

DescriptionThe newly created Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Liberty Media Corp., a Colorado-based company with interests in a broad range of electronic retailing, media, communications, and entertainment businesses. The Foundation will distribute funds based on employee-chosen themes to charitable organizations within the Rocky Mountain region. The 2007 charitable giving theme focuses on the prevention, detection, and treatment of medical problems of the Rocky Mountain region’s most vulnerable populations, including the homeless, indigent, and uninsured. Initially, the Foundation expects to disburse $250,000 in total funding. An online application is available on the Web site.
