DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the global healthcare company. It assists healthcare professionals and their patients with treatment of complex medical conditions including hemophilia, immune disorders, kidney disease, cancer, trauma, and other conditions. The Foundation’s fundamental purpose is to make a positive and lasting impact on healthcare and the health of communities around the world. Through its grants program, the Foundation works to address critical needs nationally, focusing on communities where Baxter has a corporate presence, including Illinois where grantmaking is restricted to Lake, McHenry, and Cook Counties. The Foundation also awards funds in Asia, Australia, Canada, Europe, Latin America, and Mexico. Strong preference is given to projects that are brought to the Foundation via a local Baxter facility or employee. Additional information is available on the Web site.
