Description

The Foundation primarily awards grants in the Los Angeles and New York City metropolitan area for activities that emphasize the Sephardic Jewish heritage with special interest in educational and cultural projects. The Foundation seeks to ensure that Sephardic heritage is woven into the fabric of American Jewry. The Foundation’s grantmaking includes general operating support, challenge grants, conferences and seminars, continuing support, endowment funds, program development, publication, curriculum development, fellowships, seed money grants, and research. Letters of inquiry and proposals are accepted and reviewed throughout the year. The deadline for proposals to be considered at the spring meeting is Feb. 15; for the fall meeting it’s Aug. 15.
