The Conservation, Food & Health Foundation

Category

: International

Description

The Foundation’s grantmaking emphasizes the conservation of natural resources, the production and distribution of food, and the improvement and promotion of health in the developing world. As its name implies, the Foundation supports programs and projects in three areas: conservation, food, and health. It concentrates its grantmaking on research, technical assistance, and training projects of benefit to the Third World; favors grants for pilot projects and special programs that have a potential for replication; prefers to support projects that employ and/or train personnel from the developing world; and favors research concerning problems of importance to the developing world. Preference is given to projects in areas that tend to be underfunded. The Foundation does not consider the states of the former Soviet Union or former Eastern Bloc countries as within its geographic focus. The Foundation requests applicants send a short concept application. Full proposals are by invitation.
