DescriptionThe Foundation’s mission is to transform individual lives and strengthen communities by fostering innovation, creating knowledge, and promoting social progress. Funds are awarded for programs and projects in the following areas: arts and culture, community development and social change, innovations in science and technology, and youth engagement. Online letters of inquiry are requested. If unable to complete a letter online, the Foundation asks that applicants print out a copy of the online format and mail it. The Foundation accepts letters of inquiry from organizations located in or serving populations of individuals in Alaska, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Montana.
