DescriptionThe Foundation challenges and supports theatre artists to achieve excellence in service to young people. The Foundation?s Aurand Harris Theatre Grant and Individual Fellowship supports nonprofit theatres and individual theatre artists in the United States to benefit the field of theatre for children and youth and provide growth opportunities for theatre artists developing work for the young. Funded by author royalties of Aurand Harris, one of the nation?s most published and performed playwrights for children and youth, theatre grants cover costs related to people, equipment, and travel. Individual artist fellowship fund a personal development opportunity such as writing a new play, new directing opportunities, or new designing opportunities and techniques.
