Description

Established in 1987, the Waco, Texas-based Foundation looks to meet basic human needs while building individual and social resiliency. The Foundation prefers to concentrate its grantmaking in the areas of arts and culture, community building and social services, democracy and civic participation, education, and health. By policy, one-third of the annual grantmaking budget is designated to qualified nonprofits in the Waco, TX area; one-third of the budget is allocated to qualified organizations operating elsewhere in the state of Texas and/or within the United States. The remaining one-third is designated to various organizations within Texas. The Foundation does not typically consider funding direct service programs outside of the Waco/McLennan County area. Visit the Web site for additional information and application instructions.
