Description

Founded by a commercial real estate developer who escaped the Nazis, the Foundation is devoted to exclusively supporting Jewish education of youth and young adults in the United States. Grants are awarded in two categories: Deliberate Strategy and Emergent Strategy. Grants in the Deliberate Strategy focus on strengthening and growing program models for Jewish learning that have deep and enduring effects on participants; and by training and developing dynamic, pioneering leaders and educators who serve these programs and their learners. An important component of the Deliberate Strategy is to shift the culture within existing Jewish education organizations to increased excellence, experimentation, learning, and belonging. Grants in the Emergent Strategy focus on the population of young Jews who are not served by the Deliberate Strategy. Emergent Strategies include discovering new ways of learning, cultivating new communities, and catalyzing leadership. Details about both strategies and application information can be found on the Web site.
