DescriptionThe U.K.-based Trust awards grants to support work that promotes human dignity and defends the human rights of the most marginalized and excluded people. The Trust aims to support organizations who learn from their work and respect the agency and talents of the people they work with. Priority funding areas are Migrants and Refugees, the Justice System and Penal Reform, Human Rights, and Access to Justice. Migrant/Refugee grants support programs that deliver services directly targeting migrant communities, and people who are refugees or seeking asylum. Justice System/Penal Reform grants support effective rehabilitation in the community; deliver effective services for individuals and their families at risk of contact with or within the justice system; and work to influence policy, public opinion and narratives to reform/reimagine the justice system. Human Rights grants seek to support organizations that deliver activities to protect the human rights framework and the principles of human rights and the rule of law. Access to Justice grants provide specialist legal advice and representation as well as work to influence law, policy and practice.
