Description

Created by a former newspaper magnate, the Foundation seeks better educational, health, and environmental outcomes for Canadians. It pursues these goals by supporting innovative projects that inform public policy change. The Foundation also supports civic engagement and resilient democratic institutions. The Foundation awards grants in the following areas: Civic Engagement and Democratic Institutions; Health and Wellness; Environment; and Education. The Foundation is particularly interested in projects related to the priorities that also aim to improve the well-being of Indigenous individuals and communities.
