DescriptionFounded with a grant from the Nippon Shipbuilding Industry Foundation, the Foundation is committed to promoting stronger ties between Americans and Japanese by supporting projects that foster mutual knowledge and education, deepen understanding, create effective channels of communication, and address common concerns in an increasingly interdependent world. The Foundation's Communication and Public Opinion Grants Program aims to enhance communication and mutual understanding between the American and Japanese people. Grants focus on the following areas: Print Media, Broadcast Media, Internet, Nongovernmental Links, Documentary Film/Video, Opinion Polling/Public Opinion Research, and Exhibitions. The Foundation is always looking for unique approaches to strengthening the U.S.-Japan relationship. Details about the Program and application instructions can be found on the Web site.
