DescriptionThe Company's research focus is on developing potential medicines to improve the healthspan of people with devastating cardiovascular and neuromuscular diseases of impaired muscle function. The Company provides charitable donations to organizations in the U.S. that are neither engaged, nor directly involved in the practice of healthcare, and whose missions and programs are aligned with the Company's corporate giving priorities. Health Equity in Cardiovascular Disease Grants support equitable healthcare initiatives for cardiovascular disease in underserved communities with the aim to help reduce disparities. Funded projects may include public health and/or awareness programs; non-healthcare community support programs; community-led solutions; access to basic services, and new innovative approaches. The Company's corporate giving programs also support Diversity in Science Education and Local Community Support, both in the San Francisco Bay area or Greater Philadelphia Region.
