Rasmuson Foundation
Category: Regional
DescriptionEstablished by a Swedish missionary to honor her late banker husband, the Foundation works to promote a better life for Alaskans. The Foundation's Sabbatical Award provides leaders of Alaska's nonprofit organizations and tribes time away to rest, reflect, and rejuvenate. Past recipients have brought a long history of community service and time away allows them to recognize that their organizations would benefit from allowing others to step up into leadership roles. Eligible applicants must be Alaska residents with at least seven years in the nonprofit sector or with a tribal organization and at least five years in their current position. Applicants must hold the title of CEO, executive director, or tribal administrator of their organization, which must be an Alaska nonprofit or tribal entity. Visit the Web site for additional information and application instructions.
