Andy Warhol Foundation For The Visual Arts
Category: Arts & Culture
DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the late contemporary artist. The Foundation's Arts Writers Grant Program supports emerging and established writers writing about contemporary visual art. Published authors who identify as art historians, artists, critics, curators, journalists, or writers in an outside field engaged in contemporary visual arts are invited to apply. Grants are awarded in three categories: articles, books, and short-form writing. The grants support projects that address both general and specialized art audiences, including short reviews for magazines and newspapers to in-deth scholarly studies. The Program also supports art writing that engages criticism through interdisciplinary methods or experiments with literary styles. The Program defines "contemporary visual art" as visual art made since World War II. Visit the Web site for additional information and application instructions.
