Description

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the safety and security technology Company. It awards grants to organizations that offer first responder programming and technology and engineering education. Applicants must align to the Foundation's values of accountability, innovation, impact, diversity, and inclusion. First Responder Programming grants seek to provide leadership development and training opportunities for underrepresented first responders, prepare youth and young adults for careers in public safety, leader safety and disaster preparedness trainings for the public, offer safety preparedness and response training to schools, adults, students, and first responders, and provide mental wellness and stress management trainings for first responders and their families as well as wellness and scholarship support to families of fallen first responders. Technology and Engineering Education grants seek to engage students in innovative, hands-on technology and engineering activities, such as computer, science, robotics, coding, and cybersecurity; provide vocational skills, scholarships, certifications, and workforce placement opportunities in engineering, information technology, and data science, equip teachers with the skills and training necessary to enhance instruction in technology and engineering; and prioritize school-aged students ages 8-18, college/university students, and young adults. Grants are awarded in the following priority locations in North America: Baltimore area, MD; Boston, MA; Chicagoland, IL; Dallas area, TX; Salt Lake City, UT; South Florida, FL; Southern California, CA: Vancouver, BC; Westminster, CO.
