Khyentse Foundation
Category: Arts & Culture
DescriptionThe Foundation supports Buddhist study and practice and aims to foster the dharma as well as preserve and promote the Buddha's teachings in as many ways as possible. The Foundation awards grants in three areas, which loosely associate with one or more of the three lenses it uses to approach its work: Nurturing the Source, Training for the Future, and Embracing the Present. The Foundation's Ashoka Grants seek to identify and support organizations and individuals that are working to increase dharma activity around the world. The Foundation believes that everyone, whether Buddhist or not, has something to gain from the Buddha's insight. Projects must have Buddhism at its core. Additional information and application instructions can be found on the Web site.
