DescriptionFormerly known as Wheat Ridge Ministries, the Foundation provides support to Christian nonprofits predominantly serving communities of color in the United States that work at the intersection of poverty, violence, and inequality. The Foundation offers two types of grants: GrantsPlus Grants and Emerging Leader Grants. GrantsPlus Grants partners with Christian organizations in Chicago, St. Louis, Milwaukee, and Oakland/San Francisco working at the intersection of poverty, violence, and inequality. The grants are particularly focused on education, workforce development, or criminal justice. The Foundation's Emerging Leaders Grants invest in the development of leaders between the ages of 20-35 at Christian organizations throughout the U.S. who are leading new programs at the intersection of poverty, violence, and inequality.
