DescriptionEstablished in 1948, the Foundation awards grants to U.S.-based nonprofits who partner with poor communities in the developing world to improve their health, education, and incomes, while strengthening local capacity to sustain their benefits. Grants support the following programs: Agriculture, Education, Environment, and Health. Eligible organizations must be based in the United States and serve people and communities in developing countries in one or more of the following regions: Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, South and Southeast Asia.
