Description

The Fund is under the umbrella of the Rochester Area Community Foundation, an endowment that provides ongoing and long-term support for the Rochester-Finger Lakes region of New York. The Fund, established in 1953, addresses the charitable, philanthropic, and educational purposes, which will work to improve the welfare of the Rochester and Monroe County community. Grantmaking focuses on programs and projects that address the concerns of the elderly, character building opportunities for youth, and improved labor/management relations through education or other means. Most grants are for specific, participant-driven projects. Preference is given to agencies, projects, and programs that are small-scale, start-up, innovative, and participant driven. Additional information including application instructions can be found on the Web site.
