Description

Founded by the late David Azrieli, an Israeli commercial real estate builder and developer, the Foundation expands on his legacy through various programs including the Azrieli Fellows Program for research on the world's most pressing problems; the Holocaust Survivor Memoirs Program that works to collect, preserve, and share the memoirs and diaries written by Holocaust survivors who came to Canada; the Azrieli Music Prizes which offer opportunities for the discovery, creation, performance, and celebration of excellence in music composition; the Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence, which supports and empowers caregivers and care providers; the Azrieli Science Grants for fundamental neuroscience projects related to neurodevelopmental disorders; and the Azrieli Architecture Prize for students of architecture in Israel. While the Foundation does not have an application process for unsolicited requests, the Foundation requests those who believe their organization fits within its strategic priority areas to contact them with a brief description of their organization or program. Grants are only awarded to Canadian registered charities. Visit the Web site to learn more and for application instructions.
