DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Freeman Companies, creators and developers of apartment buildings and planned communities. The Foundation supports and promotes innovative community-based leadership and giving. Grants are awarded in the following areas: arts and culture, education, environment, health and human services, animal welfare, housing, and capacity building. The Foundation's FACES (Freeman Assists Communities with Extra Support) Grants are awarded to programs and projects located in Montgomery County, Maryland and Sussex County, Delaware.
