Description

The Foundation provides leadership to achieve community change, makes grants that address local needs, and builds community endowments within the Manistee County, Michigan community. The Foundation, comprised of various funds with specific interests, will consider support for various charitable purposes and interest areas. Grants are awarded for programs and projects in youth and education, arts and culture, health and human services, recreation, community development and more. The Foundation will consider support for operating and administrative expenses associated with a specific project but only sometimes provides general operating support. Support for major capital improvements or maintenance is generally limited to recreational purposes or community centers. The Foundation will respond to inquiries within two weeks to inform the applicant(s) if the project meets guidelines and will provide a link to the grant application if the project is considered eligible. Projects must be in Manistee County unless pre-approved by the foundation and benefit residents of Manistee County. Visit the Web site for additional information.
