John M. Lloyd Foundation

Description

The Foundation supports novel, entrepreneurial projects that have a high likelihood of social change with regard to HIV/AIDS. Funding objectives include increasing funding from both the public and private sectors to address the pandemic. The Foundation also seeks to improve domestic and international policies applying universal protections of human rights to issues concerning HIV/AIDS; expanding access to HIV/AIDS healthcare and treatment; and ensuring access to accurate information about the disease. Amplifying global awareness and facilitating broad-based change in attitudes to reduce stigma and change behavior are also a priority. The Foundation is also interested in developing the leadership of organizations that fight HIV/AIDS and fostering collaboration among them. Projects that are new and innovative and those that have promise of making a significant impact are a funding priority. Those that will “amplify the dollar amount” of the grant are of particular interest.
