Description

Established in 1990 as an international nonpolitical, non-religious, non-sectarian and independent charity based in the United Kingdom, the Foundation's mission is to realize unique, unexpected ideas from and on Asia. One of the Foundation's main goals is to weave traditional Asian culture with contemporary thinking. The Foundation awards grants for artistic and educational projects, supporting visual arts, digital production, music, written word, heritage and crafts that fall within the following format: artist exhibitions or retrospectives, large scale exhibitions, new public commissions, digital projects, major festivals and biennials, prizes and awards, and long-term and cross-cultural research projects with public outcomes. Much of the Foundation's grantmaking is targeted toward cultural organizations, institutions, and individuals in London UK.
