Description

The Fund strengthens instruction by investing in outstanding teachers' self-determined professional growth and development in order to support student success, enrich their own practice, and strengthen their schools and communities. Summer fellowship grants are awarded to pre-K-12 teachers throughout the continental United States and Hawaii to pursue self-designed professional learning. Teachers decide what they want to learn and where they want to learn it ultimately returning to their classrooms as scientists, researchers, artists, and agents of change. Eligible applicants are full-time, pre-K-12 teachers who spend at least 50 percent of their time directly providing instruction to students and have at least three years' experience. Individual teachers may apply for up to $5,000 and teams may apply for up to $10,000. Application instructions can be found on the Web site.
