DescriptionThe Foundation has been a committed grantmaking partner dedicated to making the greater Minneapolis (MN) area better for all its citizens. Created by James Ruggles Thorpe, who worked in the family real estate business, the Foundation funds organizations that provide individual youth with the support services needed for a success and healthy transition to adulthood. In the last decade, the Foundation support for the growing senior community has emerged as a funding priority. In the senior community, the Foundation funds organizations that are committed to supporting vulnerable seniors ages 55+ to age with dignity, independence, and connection. Priority is given to organizations or programs that prioritize services to members of the community who have low incomes. The deadline is for grants requests for organizations serving seniors.
