Description

The Philanthropies seek to support well run and effective programs that make a difference in the areas of poverty alleviation, the environment, health and education. Grantmaking emphasizes supporting projects that help their recipients build capabilities themselves that will last far beyond the end of the specific project. The Philanthropies award grants in four funding areas: Education, the Environment, Health, and Poverty. Priority is given to pilot programs, demonstration projects, support of new programs, capacity building or evaluations that allow them to make a larger difference with limited funds than would be possible otherwise. The Philanthropies accept only a set number of letters of inquiry, approximately 50, each cycle. Visit the Web site to learn more and for application instructions.
