The Presser Foundation
DescriptionEstablished by the late music publisher Theodore Presser, the Foundation provides philanthropic support for music and music education. It works to fund the musical arts in their many dimensions. The Foundation provides grants in three areas: Advancement of Music, Capital Support, and Special Projects. Grants are awarded to music organizations within a 75-mile radius of Center City Philadelphia. The Foundation also has two grantmaking programs that provide awards to outstanding music undergraduate and graduate students. The Foundation's Assistance to Music Teachers Program provides stipends to retired music teachers with a demonstrated financial need. The Foundation accepts only direct applications. The deadline is for Advancement of Music grants. Visit the Web site for additional information and application instructions.
