Description

The Foundation was founded by the creator of Revlon Cosmetics Company although it does not have any current affiliation with it. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on four areas: Jewish Life, Urban Affairs, Biomedical Research, and Education. Distinguished by its focus on talented innovators and young people, the Foundation's Jewish Life grants operates in North America, chiefly in New York City, and in Israel. Urban Affairs grants support projects that enhance New York City's vitality as a leading and livable urban capital. Biomedical Research grants seek to strengthen basic research in the biomedical sciences in the United States and Israel. Education grants support institutions and projects that seek to provide broad access to knowledge, information, and resources that sustain an informed and engaged citizenry. The Foundation accepts letters of inquiry from prospective grantees through its online portal. Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
