DescriptionThe Foundation works to support and strengthen liberal arts education, which it sees as a fundamental to meaningful work, effective citizenship, and a fulfilling life. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on revitalizing liberal education and making it more widely accessible. It provides seed funding to extraordinary educators with concrete solutions to urgent challenges as well as grants to a diverse array of academic institutions including community colleges, liberal arts colleges, regional comprehensive institutions, and research universities as well as other higher education organizations. While the Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals, it does welcome concept papers as the basis for inviting full planning or implementation proposals.
