Laura J. Niles Foundation

: Animals & Wildlife

The Foundation?s primary mission is to encourage and support efforts to improve the lives of animals. It also encourages and supports efforts that offer learning and economic growth opportunities for the motivated poor. The Foundation?s focus on animals seeks to benefit animals in general and dogs in particular. It supports research, training, adoption programs and projects. Programs which enhance the human-animal bond are viewed with favor. Grants target areas that include animal medical research, animal protection, adoption, search and rescue, assistance dogs, equine therapy, and similar areas of endeavor. Priority is given to organizations that promote partnerships and collaborative efforts among multiple groups and organizations. Currently, the Foundation does not consider spay/neuter programs to be a priority, given the limited funds that are available.
