Description

Founded by a paper Company owner, the Foundation envisions a thriving and equitable performing arts ecosystem for the city of New York. The Foundation envisions a city where all performance traditions, disciplines, and conversations are cultivated, cared for, and revered. The Foundation funds professional performing arts organizations, performing arts presenters, and service organizations that provide support for the performing arts and performing artists. The Foundation does not fund arts education, in-school, or after-school arts programming; pre-professional development, professional performing arts training, or tuition-based programs; individual artists; social service organizations; museums, libraries, or other institutions whose primary mission is not the performing arts; or venues that are primarily rental facilities. The Foundation primarily provides general operating support and project support grants. Visit the Web site for additional information and application instructions.
