Description

The Foundation's mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of others for the greater glory of God. The Foundation exists to benefit the areas of faith, education, medicine, and humanitarian needs. According to the wishes of the founders, faith-related grants will only be given to Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and other church bodies in fellowship with it such as the Evangelical Lutheran Synod, Lutheran Church of Central Africa, etc. The Foundation prioritizes funding for pilot programs, start-up costs and building projects over operating budget items. Education grants are awarded for classroom technology, tuition assistance, teacher training seminars, and special education programs. Medicine grants support hospital and clinic expansion, advanced technology, research, and community health outreach. Humanitarian grants support natural disaster relief, water filtration and purification, temporary housing, and food distribution. While the Foundation gives many grants to nonprofits in Wisconsin and Minnesota, they are not geographically restricted. Letters of inquiry can be submitted between April 15 and July 15. The deadline listed is for applications. Visit the Web site for additional information and application instructions.
