Craig H. Neilsen Foundation

: Disabilities

The Foundation, sharing the vision of its founder, is committed to a world where individuals with spinal cord injuries, and those who care for them, live full and productive lives as active participants in their communities. The Foundation awards grants in the following areas: spinal cord injury research on the translational spectrum, creating opportunity and independence, psychosocial research, the Neilsen scholarship program, spinal cord injury medicine fellowships, and the Craig H. Neilsen Visionary Prize. Most of the Foundation's grantmaking begins by submitting a brief letter of intent submitted online through ProposalCentral and reviewed by staff and external experts. When making funding decisions, the Foundation looks for collaborative partnerships, inclusive ideas, and creative approaches. Visit the Web site for more information and application instructions.
