Description

The Foundation's Frederick S. Upton Foundation grant Program was named for one of the founding fathers of the Whirlpool Corporation. To honor Upton's legacy, the Foundation awards grants to local nonprofits that provide services to residents of Berrien County, Michigan. The Upton Foundation works to uphold and perpetuate the wishes of its founder, which include loving your community, being aware and being perceptive as to what is needed - economically and culturally - to improve and enrich the quality of life of its inhabitants; and to work together as family members and trustees, serving others through the Foundation with wisdom and compassion. Potential grantees must contact the Foundation prior to submitting an application. Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
