Mary Duke Biddle Foundation
DescriptionThe Foundation works to encourage, promote, and nurture the arts and K-12 educational communities in North Carolina's Chatham, Durham, Orange, and Wake counties (the state's Triangle region). The Foundation's Art Grants Program awards operating support to organizations aligned with the Foundation's program funding goals. These include support for cultural organizations that demonstrate artistic excellence and elevate the profile of the Triangle's arts scenes, both locally and nationally; new, emerging, or grassroot cultural organizations that document, preserve, and/or present the values, spirit, and diversity of the Triangle's cultural community; and/or arts-focused organizations that work directly with artists to nurture the current and next generations of artists, help them deepen and expand their talent; develop their professional and business skills, and create new works. Preference is given to organizations with operating budgets under $300,000. The proposal application window opens June 1, with proposals due June 15. Additional information including application instructions can be found on the Web site.
