DescriptionThe Foundation, named for the famed children's author, seeks to be a catalyst for improved literacy, broadly conceived, through strategic partnerships and investments. The Foundation funds projects that introduce new skills and knowledge in the multi-layered worlds of the arts and humanities, health and well-being, animal welfare, and the environment. Grants will be awarded to eligible organizations and projects with priority given to those serving California and Massachusetts. Applicants should describe how projects address diversity, equity, and inclusion; leverage funds and/or resources from other partners; are designed to be shared, and potentially scaled and/or adapted by others; and articulate strategies for success.
