The Foundation funds organizations and projects that primarily serve Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities and/or are led by BIPOC leaders. It also has funded lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, queer (LGBTQ) organizations and projects, youth-serving organizations and projects, food justice organizations and projects (in Massachusetts only), and reproductive organizations and projects. It plans on shifting some of its LGBTQ funding to BIPOC-led and BIPOC-serving organizations.
