DescriptionThe Foundation was founded by Ray Herrick, a skilled toolmaker and creator of Tecumseh Products Company, an early Fortune 500 company. The Foundation strives to invest in furthering education and research with charitable organizations that share a long-term commitment to social welfare. Historically, the Foundation's focus has been very broad but since the pandemic, the Foundation has narrowed its funding focus to the following areas: COVID-19 emergency relief, community, and education. COVID-19 funding support relief efforts throughout the state of Michigan. Community grants support innovative programs and experiences that create vibrant, resilient, and inclusive communities. Education grants support student access to education, access to meaningful enrichment for children and their families, and access to lifelong educational opportunities, regardless of age. Organizations located in the State of Michigan are invited to submit a grant proposal online. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
