Chesapeake Bay Trust
DescriptionThe Trust supports environmental programs in Maryland and the District of Columbia. The Trust?s Mini-Grant Program for K-12 Education, supports activities at schools that provide meaningful outdoor learning experiences around a watershed issue investigation, including field trips, fieldwork, student-led action projects, and schoolyard habitat projects as well as teacher professional development trainings and programs to advance environmental literacy. The Trust will accept applications from nonprofits; faith-based organizations; community associations; service and civic groups; municipal, county, regional, state, and federal public agencies; soil/water conservation districts and resource conservation and development councils; forestry boards and tributary teams; and public and independent higher education institutions.
