DescriptionThe Foundation is dedicated to promoting quality science and mathematics education in the U.S. K-12 schools. The Foundation awards grants through two initiatives: grades K-5 and grades 6-12. Grants of up to $1,000 for grades K-5 are provided to teachers in public or private schools to help them bring innovative projects into their classrooms. Grants for grades 6-12 are provided to teachers who have an idea for making science and mathematics more fun for their students. Requests for grants of up to $5,000 may be submitted through the year. These grants are reviewed quarterly. Applications for large grants of $5,000 or more are May 1 and November 1. Requests for all grants must be for project-based learning. The Foundation does not consider requests for computers. The deadline is for grants for teachers in grades K-5. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
