Description

The Foundation is dedicated to the relief of poverty through effective partnerships that target food support, food security, and food sustainability; microbusiness and economic development; and the development of individuals, families, and communities toward self-determination and an improved standard of living. The Foundation believes that the need for food and economic sustainability is basic to all poverty solutions. The Foundation's founders are motivated by faith in God and values-based initiatives but are not limited to the support of faith-based partnerships. The Foundation works both internationally and domestically. Internationally, grants are awarded to projects that serve six Central American and Caribbean countries: Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Jamaica, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic. Domestic grants are awarded to organizations located in the greater metropolitan St. Louis area, within the city of St. Louis or North St. Louis County. The Foundation is also working towards awarding grants in West Central Illinois, including the service areas of Adams, Brown, Pike, and Schuyler counties.
