Description

The Foundation provides programs and funding to nonprofit organizations in the fields of community development, social justice, and environmental issues. The Foundation serves nonprofits and communities in most of the western United States. Applicants must be geographically located in the Western states of California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Nevada, Colorado, or Wyoming. Special project areas include San Mateo County, California, and Western Colorado, especially the North Fork of the Gunnison River Valley. The Foundation's General grants are awarded to organizations that address one or more of the following program areas: healthcare and education for special populations (youth, people with disabilities, low-income populations, and senior citizens); Christian ministry, ethics, and social justice; science and engineering; and sustainable agriculture and environmental issues. Requests will be considered for either general support or specific project support. Additional information including application instructions can be found on the Web site.
