Description

The Foundation was founded by a mechanical engineer, inventor, and business entrepreneur who made significant contributions in the field of color film analysis and processing. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on nonprofits that serve the youth of Vermont. The Foundation seeks to foster a sense of well-being, curiosity, and empowerment in the lives of youth so that they are best equipped to meet the challenges of the future. Grants are awarded in the following areas: education and training, enrichment activities, recreation, and health and wellness. Education and training grants support science/technology/engineering/mathematics programs, job skills/career training, and literacy programs. Enrichment activities fund art/theater/music programs, after-school programs, and camps. Recreation grants support sports programs, outdoor activities, and wilderness training. Health and wellness grants are awarded to programs addressing food insecurity and those promoting physical and emotional well-being. An eligibility quiz and additional information can be found on the Web site.
