Description

The Foundation works to ensure that the unique history of the Hawaiian Islands is alive and intact for the enrichment of present and future generations. The Foundation's Historic Preservation Grants Program awards grants in support of the rehabilitation or restoration of construction projects that preserve the character-defining features of a historic building or site. Projects should demonstrate that local support and investment is in place prior to employing, and that following completion of the preservation project the site or building will be used for a public or community purpose. Eligible applicants include public agencies and nonprofits. Find additional details and application instructions on the Web site.
